Delicious Red Velvet Brownies that combine the richness of chocolate with a vibrant red color, perfect for any occasion.

  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon red food coloring
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9 inch baking pan.
  2. Whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. Melt the unsalted butter and mix in the granulated sugar.
  4. Stir in the eggs one at a time, then add the vanilla extract and red food coloring.
  5. Combine the wet and dry ingredients until just mixed, then fold in chocolate chips if using.
  6. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared baking pan.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool in the pan before cutting into squares and serving.
