A simple and creamy homemade hummus that’s perfect for dipping and sharing.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 can (15 oz) chickpeas, drained and rinsed
  • 1/4 cup tahini
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
  • Salt to taste
  • Paprika for garnish
  • Olive oil for drizzling

Instructions

  1. Combine the chickpeas, tahini, water, lemon juice, garlic, olive oil, ground cumin, and salt in a food processor.
  2. Blend until smooth and creamy. Add more water if needed.
  3. Taste and adjust the seasoning as necessary.
  4. Transfer to a serving bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and sprinkle with paprika.
  5. Serve with warm pita bread, fresh vegetables, or crackers.

Notes

Homemade hummus stores well in the fridge for 3-5 days. Can be frozen for up to three months.
