An easy-to-follow cherry pie recipe that fills your home with warmth and nostalgia.

  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cherries, pitted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 package pie crusts (or homemade pie crust)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Combine the cherries, sugar, cornstarch, lemon juice, and vanilla extract in a mixing bowl.
  3. Roll out one pie crust and place it in a pie dish.
  4. Pour the cherry mixture into the crust, spreading it evenly.
  5. Dot the filling with small pieces of butter.
  6. Roll out the second pie crust.
  7. Seal the edges of the pie crusts together.
  8. Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown.
  9. Let the pie cool before serving.

Notes
