  • 1 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cream together the softened butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until smooth.
  3. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  4. Combine the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt in another bowl.
  5. Blend the dry ingredients into the creamed mixture until incorporated.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips evenly throughout the dough.
  7. Scoop heaping tablespoons of dough onto ungreased cookie sheets.
  8. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until edges are set but centers look slightly soft.
  9. Cool on the cookie sheet for a few minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
