A healthier twist on a classic meatloaf made with ground turkey and savory spices.

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup ketchup (plus more for topping)
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp dried thyme

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) to set the stage for baking your delicious turkey meatloaf.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, gather and combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, finely chopped onion, minced garlic, ketchup, eggs, salt, black pepper, oregano, and thyme.
  3. Using your hands or a spatula, mix the ingredients well until everything is combined.
  4. Transfer the meat mixture onto a greased baking dish. Form it into a loaf shape, making sure to smooth the top.
  5. Spread a thin layer of ketchup over the top of the meatloaf.
  6. Place your meatloaf in the oven and bake for 50-60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  7. Once the meatloaf is cooked, remove it from the oven and allow it to rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Now, slice the meatloaf and serve it warm. Enjoy the delightful blend of flavors!

Notes

This meatloaf pairs wonderfully with creamy mashed potatoes or a tangy slaw. Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
