A warm, cheesy sub filled with flavorful turkey meatballs drenched in marinara sauce.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground turkey
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 jar marinara sauce
  • 4 sub rolls
  • Sliced provolone or mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the ground turkey, breadcrumbs, parmesan cheese, egg, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and black pepper in a large bowl. Mix well.
  3. Form the mixture into 1-inch meatballs.
  4. Bake the meatballs on a lined baking sheet for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Heat the marinara sauce in a saucepan over medium heat.
  6. Add the cooked meatballs to the marinara sauce to coat.
  7. Assemble the sub rolls with meatballs and extra sauce.
  8. Melt cheese on top under the broiler for 2-3 minutes.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
