A comforting Tuna Casserole made with tender egg noodles, flaky tuna, and a luscious creamy sauce, topped with breadcrumbs and cheese.

  • 2 cups egg noodles
  • 1 can (12 ounces) flaked tuna, drained
  • 1 cup sweet peas (fresh or frozen)
  • 1 can (10.5 ounces) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the egg noodles according to package directions. Once tender, drain them.
  3. Combine the cooked noodles, flaked tuna, sweet peas, cream of mushroom soup, milk, and half of the cheddar cheese in a large mixing bowl.
  4. Season with salt and pepper to taste and mix well until creamy.
  5. Transfer the mixture to a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Top with the remaining cheddar cheese and breadcrumbs.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden and bubbly.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For a creamy twist, incorporate a dollop of sour cream or Greek yogurt. This dish is versatile, so feel free to add leftover vegetables or try different cheese blends.
