A delightful and creamy cake soaked in a blend of three kinds of milk, perfect for any celebration.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • Whipped cream for topping
  • Fresh fruit for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking dish to prevent sticking.
  2. Whisk together the flour and baking powder; set aside.
  3. Cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  4. Incorporate the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Mix gradually the flour mixture to your wet ingredients, mixing just until combined.
  6. Bake the batter into the prepared baking dish for about 30 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan.
  7. Prepare the milk mixture by combining the evaporated milk, condensed milk, and heavy cream.
  8. Soak the cooled cake by poking holes with a fork and pouring the milk mixture over it. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  9. Garnish the cake with whipped cream and fresh fruit before serving.

Notes

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Allow the cake to soak for optimal flavor.
