A delightful and moist cake soaked in three types of milk, topped with whipped cream and fresh fruits, embodying the warmth of family gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons sugar (for whipping cream)
  • Fresh fruit or berries for topping (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan to prevent sticking.
  2. In a bowl, mix the flour and baking powder together; set aside for later.
  3. In another bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar together until creamy and light in texture.
  4. Add the eggs to the butter-sugar mixture, one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually mix in the flour mixture until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes before poking holes all over the top with a fork.
  8. In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole milk, sweetened condensed milk, and evaporated milk. Pour the mixture over the cooled cake, allowing it to soak for at least 1 hour.
  9. While the cake soaks, whip the heavy cream with the sugar until stiff peaks form.
  10. Spread the whipped cream over the soaked cake. Top with fresh fruit or berries and serve.

Notes

Ensure all ingredients are at room temperature for better mixing. Don’t rush the soaking stage!
