Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 5 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 can (12 oz) evaporated milk
  • 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon sugar (for whipping cream)
  • Ground cinnamon (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan.
  2. Combine dry ingredients by whisking together the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl. Set aside.
  3. Cream the softened butter and sugar together until light and fluffy.
  4. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the flour mixture with the creamed mixture, mixing until just combined.
  6. Bake the batter in the prepared pan for 30-35 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Let it cool completely.
  7. Prepare the milk mixture by combining the whole milk, evaporated milk, and sweetened condensed milk in another bowl.
  8. Soak the cooled cake by poking holes all over the top and pouring the milk mixture over it. Let it soak.
  9. Chill the cake for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  10. Whip the heavy cream with 1 tablespoon of sugar until soft peaks form and spread over the soaked cake.
  11. Garnish with ground cinnamon and slice into squares before serving chilled.

Notes

For the best flavor and texture, allow the cake to soak overnight. Use fresh ingredients for optimal results.
