An indulgent Italian dessert combining layers of creamy mascarpone, brewed coffee, and ladyfingers, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 16 oz mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup brewed coffee, cooled
  • 1/2 cup coffee liqueur (optional)
  • 2 packs ladyfinger cookies
  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the mascarpone cheese, heavy cream, granulated sugar, and vanilla extract. Use an electric mixer to whip until smooth and stiff peaks form.
  2. In a shallow dish, combine the cooled brewed coffee and coffee liqueur, if desired.
  3. Quickly dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture for 1-2 seconds, ensuring they don’t soak too long.
  4. Arrange half of the soaked ladyfingers in a single layer at the bottom of your dish.
  5. Spread half of the creamy mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers evenly.
  6. Repeat the process with the remaining ladyfingers and mascarpone mix.
  7. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  8. Before serving, dust the top with cocoa powder.

Notes

Opt for high-quality coffee for richer flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
