A comforting and flavorful dish featuring glazed salmon served over rice with crisp vegetables.

Ingredients

  • 2 salmon fillets
  • 1 cup cooked rice (white or brown)
  • 1 cup broccoli florets
  • 1/2 cup carrots, sliced
  • 1/4 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon sesame seeds (optional)
  • Green onions, sliced (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Preheat a non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tablespoon of olive oil.
  2. Season the salmon fillets generously with salt and pepper.
  3. Sear the salmon fillets skin-side down for 4-5 minutes until crispy, then flip and cook for another 3-4 minutes.
  4. Glaze the salmon with teriyaki sauce in the last minute of cooking.
  5. Steam the broccoli and carrots until fork-tender and vibrant.
  6. Assemble the bowls with rice, glazed salmon, steamed vegetables, and top with sesame seeds and green onions.

Notes

For a more intense teriyaki flavor, marinate the salmon in teriyaki sauce for 30 minutes before cooking.
