Comforting stuffed pasta shells filled with creamy cheese and smothered in rich marinara sauce.

Ingredients

  • 12 large pasta shells
  • 1 cup ricotta cheese
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta shells according to the package instructions until al dente, then drain and cool.
  3. Combine ricotta, half of the mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Stuff each shell with the cheese mixture and place in a baking dish.
  5. Pour marinara sauce over the stuffed shells.
  6. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes.
  7. Uncover and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes until cheese is bubbly and golden.
  8. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Make sure the pasta shells are cooled slightly before filling to prevent the filling from melting.
