Delightful sweet rolls filled with creamy vanilla and strawberries, perfect for brunch or as a sweet treat.

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 packet instant yeast
  • 1/2 cup warm milk
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 tablespoons vanilla bean paste
  • 1 cup strawberries, chopped
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast mixture: In a bowl, combine warm milk, sugar, and yeast. Let sit for 5 minutes until bubbly.
  2. Combine dough ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine flour and salt. Add in melted butter, egg, and yeast mixture. Knead until smooth.
  3. Let the dough rise: Cover and let rise in a warm place for about 60 minutes until doubled in size.
  4. Roll out the dough: On a floured surface, roll out the dough into a rectangle and cut into smaller rectangles.
  5. Whip vanilla cream: In another bowl, whip heavy cream with vanilla bean paste until stiff peaks form.
  6. Fill the rolls: Place a spoonful of vanilla cream and chopped strawberries on each rectangle, then roll up tightly.
  7. Second rise: Place rolls in a greased baking dish and let rise for another 30 minutes.
  8. Bake the rolls: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Dust with powdered sugar: Allow to cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar before serving.
