  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter, cold and cubed
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Whipped cream for serving

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Sweeten the sliced strawberries with sugar and set aside.
  3. Mix the flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
  4. Cut in the cold, cubed butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  5. Combine the heavy cream and vanilla extract, stirring gently until just combined.
