Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons sugar
  • 1 cup cream cheese
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 cup whipped topping
  • 2 cups strawberries (sliced)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 package (6 oz) strawberry gelatin
  • 2 cups boiling water

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, combine the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 3 tablespoons of sugar. Mix until well-combined, and then press this mixture into the bottom of a 9×13 inch pan. Bake for 10 minutes, then allow it to cool completely.
  2. Beat the cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy. Fold in the whipped topping gently to maintain its lightness. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
  3. Dissolve the strawberry gelatin in boiling water, stirring until combined. Stir in the sliced strawberries, and pour this mixture over the cream cheese layer.
  4. Cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until set. Cut into squares and serve.

Notes

For best texture, crush pretzels finely; make sure the crust cools completely before adding the cream cheese layer.
