A delightful dessert that combines a crunchy pretzel crust, creamy layer of sweetened cream cheese, and vibrant strawberry topping, perfect for any gathering.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups crushed pretzels
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 package (8 oz) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 (8 oz) container of Cool Whip
  • 2 cups boiling water
  • 1 package (6 oz) strawberry Jell-O
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). In a bowl, mix together the crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 1/4 cup sugar. Press the mixture firmly into a 9×13 inch baking dish. Bake for 10 minutes, then set aside to cool completely.
  2. In another bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar until smooth and creamy. Fold in the Cool Whip gently until well combined. Spread this mixture evenly over the cooled pretzel crust.
  3. In a separate bowl, dissolve the strawberry Jell-O in the boiling water. Mix in the sliced fresh strawberries. Allow the mixture to cool slightly before gently pouring it over the creamy layer.
  4. Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours or overnight, allowing it to set perfectly before slicing and serving.

Notes

Add a dash of vanilla extract to the cream cheese mixture for extra flavor. Use gluten-free pretzels for a gluten-free option.
