A nostalgic layered cake combining fluffy cake and fruity jello, perfect for gatherings.

  • 1 box strawberry jello
  • 1 cup boiling water
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 1 package yellow cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup sliced strawberries
  • 1 container whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Prepare the yellow cake mix according to the package instructions.
  3. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  4. In a separate bowl, dissolve the strawberry jello in boiling water.
  5. Poke holes in the cooled cake using a fork.
  6. Carefully pour the jello mixture over the cake.
  7. Refrigerate for at least 4 hours until set.
  8. Top with sliced strawberries and whipped topping before serving.

Notes

Chill overnight for best texture and flavor. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
