A playful and indulgent dessert combining crunchy tortillas with creamy cheesecake filling and caramelized strawberries.

  • 6 small flour tortillas
  • ½ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 cup fresh or frozen strawberries, chopped
  • ¼ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (cornstarch slurry)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Mix together ½ cup granulated sugar and 1 tbsp ground cinnamon.
  3. Brush each tortilla with melted butter and coat with cinnamon sugar.
  4. Drape the tortillas over the oven rack to form taco shapes.
  5. Bake for 8–10 minutes until crisp and golden.
  6. Remove the taco shells from the oven and allow them to cool completely.
  7. Beat together the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth.
  8. Whip the heavy cream in a separate bowl until stiff peaks form.
  9. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture.
  10. Simmer chopped strawberries, ¼ cup granulated sugar, and lemon juice over medium heat for about 5–7 minutes.
  11. Stir in the cornstarch slurry and cook until thickened, about 1–2 minutes.
  12. Pipe the cheesecake filling into each taco shell and top with strawberry sauce.
  13. Serve immediately for the best texture.

Notes

These tacos can be customized with different fruits or toppings like chocolate or caramel.
