A comforting one-pan dish featuring succulent steak and crispy golden potatoes, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb steak (sirloin or ribeye), cubed
  • 4 medium potatoes, diced
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh herbs (such as rosemary or thyme) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add the diced potatoes and cook until they are golden and tender, about 10-15 minutes.
  3. Push the potatoes to one side of the skillet and add the cubed steak. Season with salt and pepper.
  4. Sear the steak on all sides until cooked to your liking, about 5-7 minutes.
  5. Add the chopped onion and minced garlic to the skillet, cooking for 2-3 minutes until the onion is translucent.
  6. Mix everything together and cook for an additional minute.
  7. Garnish with fresh herbs and serve hot.

Notes

For added flavor, try mixing in bell peppers or mushrooms. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to three days.
