Crispy, golden potatoes marinated in soy sauce and garlic, perfect as a side dish or a main attraction.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (about 45 medium) Yukon Gold potatoes, washed and cubed
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons honey or maple syrup
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, minced (optional)
  • 2 green onions, chopped (for garnish)
  • Sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Potatoes: Begin by washing and cubing your Yukon Gold potatoes into bite-sized pieces.
  2. Make the Flavorful Marinade: In a large bowl, mix together the soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), minced garlic, sesame oil, and ginger.
  3. Marinate the Potatoes: Add the cubed potatoes to the bowl, tossing them gently in the marinade until every piece is coated.
  4. Heat the Oil: In a large skillet, heat the vegetable oil over medium-high heat.
  5. Cook the Potatoes: Once the oil is hot, add the marinated potatoes to the skillet in a single layer.
  6. Stir and Sauté: After the initial browning, stir the potatoes gently to brown on all sides.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Remove the potatoes from heat and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.

Notes

For extra flavor, consider adding a splash of rice vinegar to the marinade.
