A warm, nostalgic Southern Peach Cobbler, perfect for family gatherings or solo indulgence, filled with juicy peaches and a buttery topping.

  • 6 cups sliced fresh peaches
  • 1 cup sugar (divided)
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the sliced peaches with 1 cup of sugar, the cinnamon, and lemon juice in a large bowl.
  3. Pour the peach mixture into a greased baking dish.
  4. Whisk together the flour, milk, the remaining 1 cup of sugar, melted butter, baking powder, and salt until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter over the peach mixture without stirring.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
  7. Cool for about 10 minutes before serving.
  8. Scoop out a piece and enjoy with ice cream.
