  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup caramel sauce

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a muffin tin with liners.
  2. Whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt until well combined.
  3. Cream the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
  4. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Combine the dry ingredients with the wet mixture, alternating with the milk, until just combined.
  6. Prepare the muffin liners by filling them halfway with batter, adding caramel sauce in the center, then topping with more batter.
  7. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool slightly before serving and enjoy the melty caramel center.
