Succulent shrimp cooked in a buttery, garlicky sauce with a burst of lemon and parsley, served over pasta.

Ingredients

  • 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 3 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup white wine
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 8 ounces linguine or spaghetti

Instructions

  1. Cook the Pasta: Prepare the linguine or spaghetti according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
  2. Heat the Sautéing Oils: In a large skillet, heat 4 tablespoons of unsalted butter and 3 tablespoons of olive oil over medium heat.
  3. Sauté the Aromatics: Add the minced garlic and red pepper flakes to the skillet and sauté for about a minute until fragrant.
  4. Cook the Shrimp: Add the shrimp to the skillet and cook until pink, about 2-3 minutes per side.
  5. Season and Add Liquid: Season with salt and pepper, then pour in the white wine and lemon juice.
  6. Simmer the Sauce: Let the sauce simmer for 2-3 minutes to meld the flavors.
  7. Combine Pasta and Sauce: Stir in the parsley and add the cooked pasta, tossing to combine.
  8. Serve and Enjoy: Serve immediately, garnishing with extra parsley and lemon wedges if desired.

Notes

For added flavor, serve with garlic bread and a crisp white wine. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
