A delightful dish featuring crispy tofu marinated in a savory-sweet sesame ginger sauce, perfect for a comforting weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 1 block of firm tofu
  • 2 tablespoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon ginger, grated
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Press the tofu to remove excess moisture, then cut it into cubes.
  2. In a bowl, mix sesame oil, soy sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, rice vinegar, and honey/maple syrup.
  3. Marinate the tofu in this mixture for at least 30 minutes.
  4. Heat a non-stick skillet over medium heat and add the marinated tofu.
  5. Cook until tofu is golden brown on all sides, about 10-15 minutes.
  6. Sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onions before serving.
  7. Serve with rice or steamed vegetables.

Notes

Leftover tofu can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. To reheat, sauté in a non-stick skillet to restore crispiness.
