Delightful bars combining a rich buttery crust, nutty coconut, and luscious caramel with a pinch of sea salt.

  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 3 cups shredded coconut
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C), and then prepare your 9×13 baking pan by lightly greasing it or lining it with parchment paper.
  2. Cream the unsalted butter and brown sugar in a large mixing bowl until light and frothy.
  3. Mix in the all-purpose flour until a thick dough forms.
  4. Press the dough evenly into the prepared pan to create a solid crust.
  5. Bake for 10-12 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Sprinkle the shredded coconut and chocolate chips evenly over the crust.
  7. Drizzle the warm caramel sauce over the layers.
  8. Return the pan to the oven and bake for another 15-20 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  9. Cool completely in the pan before slicing into squares or bars.

Notes

For richer flavor, use dark brown sugar. Add chopped nuts for extra crunch.
