Salted Caramel Cheesecake

A velvety and rich cheesecake topped with homemade salted caramel, perfect for any occasion.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 (8 oz) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 cup caramel sauce
  • 1 teaspoon sea salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (160°C).
  2. Combine the graham cracker crumbs with melted butter in a mixing bowl.
  3. Press the mixture into the bottom of your springform pan.
  4. Beat the cream cheese with granulated sugar until smooth.
  5. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  6. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing after each addition.
  7. Mix in the sour cream until blended.
  8. Pour half of the cheesecake mixture over the crust, then drizzle with half of the caramel sauce.
  9. Layer the remaining cheesecake batter and top with the rest of the caramel sauce.
  10. Bake for 60-70 minutes, until the center is slightly jiggly.
  11. Cool at room temperature, then refrigerate for a minimum of 4 hours.
  12. Sprinkle with sea salt and additional caramel sauce before serving.

Notes

Be sure your cream cheese is at room temperature to avoid lumps. Allowing the cheesecake to chill overnight enhances its flavors and texture.
