A delightful Rustic Peach Galette featuring juicy peaches and a flaky crust, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 ripe peaches, sliced
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup sugar (adjust to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon butter, cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the sliced peaches with lemon juice, sugar, vanilla extract, cornstarch, and salt in a bowl.
  3. Roll out your pre-made pie crust on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. Spoon the peach mixture onto the center of the rolled-out crust, leaving a 2-inch border.
  5. Fold the edges of the crust over the peaches.
  6. Brush the crust with the beaten egg and sprinkle a bit of sugar on top.
  7. Dot the filling with small pieces of butter.
  8. Bake for 35-40 minutes until the crust is golden brown and the peaches are bubbly.
  9. Cool slightly on a wire rack before slicing.

Notes

Best served warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in an airtight container.
