A comforting and creamy rice pudding that’s perfect for cozy evenings.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup raisins (optional)
  • Ground cinnamon for serving

Instructions

  1. Combine rice, milk, sugar, and salt in a saucepan.
  2. Bring to a boil over medium heat, then reduce to low and simmer for about 20 minutes or until the rice is tender.
  3. Add vanilla extract and raisins if using, and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  4. Serve warm, sprinkled with ground cinnamon.

Notes

Stir frequently to prevent sticking. For a creamier texture, use short-grain rice. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 3 days.
