A simple yet delicious dessert that combines juicy pineapple with a fluffy cake mix, creating a nostalgic favorite for gatherings.

  • 20 oz canned crushed pineapple (with juice)
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup unsalted butter (melted)
  • Optional: 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • Optional: 1/3 cup shredded coconut
  • Optional: 1/3 cup chopped pecans or walnuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  3. Pour the entire can of crushed pineapple with juice into the dish.
  4. Sprinkle the dry cake mix evenly over the pineapple layer.
  5. Add optional brown sugar, shredded coconut, and chopped nuts over the cake mix.
  6. Pour the melted butter evenly over the top.
  7. Bake in your preheated oven for 45-55 minutes.
  8. Allow to rest for 15 minutes before serving.

Notes
