Delicious sliders filled with tender beef, melted provolone cheese, and sautéed peppers and onions, capturing the essence of a classic Philly cheesesteak.

Ingredients

  • 1 lb thinly sliced beef (ribeye or top round)
  • 1 onion, sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, sliced
  • 8 slider rolls
  • 8 slices provolone cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Olive oil

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, add a drizzle of olive oil.
  3. Sauté the onions and green peppers until softened and aromatic.
  4. Add the thin slices of beef to the skillet, season with salt and pepper.
  5. Cook until the beef is no longer pink.
  6. Slice the slider rolls in half and place the bottom halves on a baking sheet.
  7. Top the slider bottoms with the beef, onion, and pepper mixture, then layer on the provolone cheese.
  8. Place the top halves of the rolls on top and brush with olive oil.
  9. Bake in the oven for 10-15 minutes until the cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
  10. Slice the sliders and serve warm.

Notes

These sliders are great for parties and can be paired with a salad or chips. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
