Penne Pasta with Peas and Bacon

A creamy and comforting pasta dish combining penne, peas, and crispy bacon, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 12 oz penne pasta
  • 1 cup peas
  • 6 slices bacon
  • 1 cup cream
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • Salt, to taste
  • Pepper, to taste

Instructions

  1. Cook the penne pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
  2. Crisp the bacon in a large skillet over medium heat until crispy. Remove and crumble.
  3. Sauté the garlic in the same skillet with olive oil for 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Combine the peas and cooked pasta in the skillet, stirring to combine.
  5. Create the creamy sauce by pouring in the cream and mixing well, allowing to heat through until creamy.
  6. Add the crumbled bacon, and season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Serve warm, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.

Notes

For an elevated dining experience, serve with an arugula salad and a crisp white wine.
