A delightful and rustic Peach Galette that celebrates the sweetness of summer peaches with a flaky pie crust.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups sliced peaches
  • 1 pre-made pie crust
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 egg (for egg wash)
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Pinch of salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C).
  2. Mix the sliced peaches, sugar, cornstarch, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt in a mixing bowl.
  3. Roll out your pre-made pie crust on a baking sheet, creating a base for the filling.
  4. Pour the peach mixture into the center of the crust, leaving a 2-inch border.
  5. Fold the edges of the crust over the peaches, creating a rustic look.
  6. Create an egg wash by beating the egg with a tablespoon of water, and brush it over the crust.
  7. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and bubbly.
  8. Let it cool slightly before slicing.

Notes

Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream. Store leftovers in the fridge for up to 3 days.
