A delightful peach cobbler made with fresh peaches and a buttery topping, perfect for summer gatherings.

Ingredients

  • 4 cups fresh peaches, sliced
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • Ground cinnamon (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix the sliced peaches with 1/2 cup of sugar and set aside.
  3. Combine the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla until just combined.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish.
  6. Spoon the peaches and their juices over the batter.
  7. Sprinkle with ground cinnamon if desired.
  8. Bake for 30-40 minutes, or until the top is golden brown.
  9. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.

Notes
