Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 cups sliced peaches
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon

  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  2. Combine sliced peaches, 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice in a mixing bowl. Pour the mixture into a greased baking dish.
  3. Whisk together flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl. Stir in milk until smooth.
  4. Pour the batter over the peach mixture in the baking dish.
  5. Melt the butter and drizzle it over the batter.
  6. Bake for about 40-45 minutes until the top is golden brown.
  7. Serve warm, optionally with ice cream.

Notes

Use fresh, ripe peaches for the best flavor. If you can’t find them, frozen peaches work well. Don’t skip the lemon juice for balance.
