A delightful meringue-based dessert topped with whipped cream and fresh berries.

Ingredients

  • 4 egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon white vinegar
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 250°F (120°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  2. Beat the egg whites until soft peaks form.
  3. Add the granulated sugar gradually while beating until stiff peaks form and the mixture is glossy.
  4. Incorporate the vanilla extract, cornstarch, and vinegar into the meringue.
  5. Spoon the meringue onto the baking sheet, shaping it into a circle with a dip in the center.
  6. Bake for about 1.5 hours, then turn off the oven and let the pavlova cool completely inside.
  7. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  8. Spread the whipped cream over the cooled pavlova, top with mixed berries, and dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

Best enjoyed fresh. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 1 day.
