A delightful layered dessert with mixed berries, whipped cream, and pound cake, perfect for summer celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound cake, cut into cubes
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 2 cups whipped cream
  • 1 cup vanilla pudding
  • Fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions

  1. Gather your pound cake and cut it into cubes. Aim for about an inch, so they hold their shape yet are easy to layer.
  2. Layer half of the pound cake cubes on the bottom of a trifle dish. This will be the foundation of our trifle.
  3. Top the pound cake cubes with half of your mixed berries. The vibrant colors of the strawberries, blueberries, and raspberries will make your dessert pop!
  4. Spread half of the vanilla pudding over the layer of berries. This creamy layer adds a lovely richness to the trifle.
  5. Add a layer of whipped cream on top of the pudding. Aim for a fluffy, generous layer that will elevate your dessert.
  6. Repeat the layers with the remaining pound cake cubes, followed by the rest of the mixed berries, vanilla pudding, and whipped cream.
  7. Finish with a dollop of whipped cream on top and garnish with fresh mint leaves for that final beautiful touch.
  8. Refrigerate your trifle for a few hours (at least 4) before serving to allow all the flavors to meld together beautifully.

Notes

Use fresh berries for the best flavor and texture. If unavailable, sponge cake or ladyfingers can be used instead of pound cake.
