A comforting casserole combining the flavors of traditional Chicken Parmesan with ease for a weeknight meal.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups cooked pasta (such as rotini or penne)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • Fresh basil for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the shredded chicken, marinara sauce, cooked pasta, Italian seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Transfer the mixture to a greased 9×13 inch baking dish.
  4. Top the casserole with shredded mozzarella and sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese over the top.
  5. Drizzle with olive oil.
  6. Bake for 25-30 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and golden brown.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil before serving.

Notes

Use rotisserie chicken for an even quicker meal. Feel free to mix in favorite vegetables like spinach or bell peppers.
