A comforting dish that blends the hearty satisfaction of a classic cheeseburger with the simplicity of a pasta dish, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

  • 8 ounces macaroni
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 can diced tomatoes (14.5 ounces)
  • 2 cups beef broth
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Ketchup and mustard (optional)

Instructions

  1. Brown the ground beef with the diced onion and minced garlic until the beef is no longer pink.
  2. Drain the excess fat away.
  3. Add the diced tomatoes, beef broth, and macaroni to the pot. Stir gently to combine.
  4. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and let it simmer for about 10-12 minutes, stirring occasionally until the macaroni is tender.
  5. Remove from heat and stir in the shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Season with salt, pepper, and if desired, a squeeze of ketchup and mustard.
  7. Serve hot and enjoy!

Notes

Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to three days. You can freeze it for about a month.
