Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 pieces boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 4 cups chicken broth
  • 8 ounces egg noodles
  • ½ cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Season the chicken pieces liberally with salt and pepper.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  3. Sear the seasoned chicken in a single layer for about 5-7 minutes until golden. Flip and cook for an additional 2-3 minutes.
  4. Sauté the minced garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant.
  5. Add the chicken broth and bring to a gentle simmer.
  6. Stir in the egg noodles and let them simmer for 7-10 minutes until al dente.
  7. Create the sauce by lowering the heat and stirring in the heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
  8. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.

Notes

For added flavor, consider using red pepper flakes or swapping in vegetables like spinach or mushrooms. To lighten the dish, you can use half-and-half instead of heavy cream.
