A delicious homemade burger featuring juicy beef and sweet, caramelized onions.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 large onion, thinly sliced
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 4 hamburger buns
  • Cheese slices (optional)
  • Pickles, lettuce, and tomato (optional)
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

  1. Sautéing the onions: In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat and add the sliced onions. Cook until golden and caramelized, then remove and set aside.
  2. Forming the patties: Form the ground beef into patties and season with salt and pepper.
  3. Cooking the patties: In the same skillet, cook the patties for about 3-4 minutes on each side, adding cheese slices during the last minute if desired.
  4. Assembling the burgers: To assemble, place the burger patty on the bun, top with fried onions, and add pickles, lettuce, and tomato if using.
  5. Serving: Serve immediately and enjoy your meal.

Notes

Allow the onions to cook slowly for maximum sweetness. Let the patties rest briefly after cooking for juiciness.
