  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 cups whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 1 box (3.9 oz) instant chocolate pudding mix
  • 2 cups milk
  • Green food coloring (optional)
  • Chocolate shavings or mint candies for garnish

Instructions

  1. Create the Oreo Crust: Crush Oreo cookies and mix with melted butter. Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of a 9×13 inch dish to form a solid crust.
  2. Prepare the Mint Layer: In a bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth. Fold in 1 cup of whipped topping and peppermint extract. Add a few drops of green food coloring if desired.
  3. Assemble the Mint Mixture: Spread the mint mixture evenly over the Oreo crust.
  4. Make the Chocolate Pudding Layer: In another bowl, whisk together the instant chocolate pudding mix and milk until thickened. Spread it evenly over the mint layer.
  5. Top with Whipped Topping: Spread the remaining whipped topping over the chocolate pudding layer.
  6. Chill to Perfection: Refrigerate the dessert for at least 4 hours or until set.
  7. Garnish and Serve: Garnish with chocolate shavings or mint candies before serving.
