  1. Mix the Base Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, combine the creamy peanut butter and honey or maple syrup until smooth.
  2. Add Rolled Oats: Incorporate the rolled oats along with the powdered sugar and vanilla extract, mixing until evenly coated.
  3. Prepare Your Pan: Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper, overlapping the edges for easy removal.
  4. Press the Mixture into the Pan: Firmly press the peanut butter mixture into the prepared pan to create an even layer.
  5. Melt Chocolate Chips: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the chocolate chips and pour the melted chocolate over the mixture.
