- 9 cups Chex cereal (rice, corn, or chocolate)
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup peanut butter
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
Instructions
- Combine 1 cup of semi-sweet chocolate chips, 1/2 cup of peanut butter, and 1/4 cup of butter in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on high for 1 minute.
- Stir the mixture, then continue microwaving in 30-second intervals until completely melted and smooth. Add 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
- Place 9 cups of Chex cereal in a large mixing bowl and pour the chocolate mixture over it, ensuring each piece is coated.
- Pour 1 1/2 cups of powdered sugar into a large resealable plastic bag, add the coated cereal, seal, and shake vigorously.
- Spread the Muddy Buddies on parchment paper to cool and set.
Notes
Store leftovers in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week. They can also be frozen for up to three months.
