Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound flank steak, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 green onions, sliced

Instructions

  1. Marinate the flank steak by combining it with 1 tablespoon of soy sauce and 1 tablespoon of cornstarch. Toss well and let it marinate for 15 minutes.
  2. Heat 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Add the marinated beef and cook until browned, about 3–5 minutes.
  3. Add the minced garlic and ginger to the pan, cooking until fragrant, about 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in 1/4 cup of soy sauce and 1/4 cup of brown sugar. Bring to a gentle simmer and cook until the sauce thickens slightly, about 2–3 minutes.
  5. Sprinkle in the sliced green onions and stir to combine.
