A delightful loaf of banana bread, soft and buttery, perfect for any time of day.

Ingredients

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas with a fork until smooth.
  3. Mix in the baking soda and salt.
  4. Add the sugar, beaten egg, and vanilla extract.
  5. Incorporate the flour until just combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
  7. Bake for 60–65 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool the bread in the pan for about 10 minutes, then transfer it to a wire rack.

Notes

To maintain moisture, store leftover banana bread in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days.
