A simple and rewarding recipe for moist banana bread made with ripe bananas, perfect for any occasion.

  • 3 ripe bananas, mashed
  • 1/3 cup melted butter
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • Pinch of salt
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 large egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a mixing bowl until smooth.
  3. Stir in the melted butter with the mashed bananas.
  4. Combine the baking soda and a pinch of salt into the mixture.
  5. Mix in the sugar until evenly distributed.
  6. Add the beaten egg and vanilla extract, stirring gently until just combined.
  7. Fold in the flour until just incorporated.
  8. Pour the batter into a greased 4×8 inch loaf pan.
  9. Bake for 60-65 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  10. Cool the bread in the pan for a bit, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
