A stunning dessert combining a crisp meringue shell, light whipped cream, and fresh mixed berries, perfect for gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 large egg whites
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon white vinegar
  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 275°F (135°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and draw a circle as a guide.
  2. Beat the egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add the granulated sugar, one tablespoon at a time, until glossy and stiff peaks form.
  3. Fold in the vanilla extract and vinegar gently.
  4. Spoon the meringue onto the prepared baking sheet, using the circle as a guide, and create a slight well in the center.
  5. Bake for about 1 hour, then turn off the oven and let the meringue cool completely inside.
  6. Whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form.
  7. Top the cooled meringue with whipped cream, then add the mixed berries on top.
  8. Dust with powdered sugar before serving for elegance!

Notes

To avoid humidity affecting the meringue, bake on a dry day. Store the unassembled meringue in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days.
