  • 2 cups mixed berries (strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, blackberries)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the mixed berries with 1/4 cup of sugar in a bowl and let them sit.
  3. Whisk together the flour, remaining sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Stir in the milk, melted butter, and vanilla extract into the dry ingredients until smooth.
  5. Pour the batter into a greased baking dish, spreading it evenly.
  6. Spoon the berry mixture over the batter.
  7. Bake for 40-45 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  8. Cool slightly before serving.
