Million Dollar Spaghetti Casserole

A comforting casserole packed with layers of spaghetti, ground meat, ricotta, and a cheesy topping that will leave everyone wanting more.

Ingredients

  • 8 oz spaghetti
  • 1 lb ground beef or sausage
  • 1 jar (24 oz) marinara sauce
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Cook the spaghetti according to package instructions until al dente; drain well and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, brown the ground meat over medium heat; drain excess fat.
  4. Add the marinara sauce to the skillet with the meat and stir to combine; simmer for a couple of minutes.
  5. In a separate bowl, mix the ricotta cheese with Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  6. In a baking dish, create your first layer: half of the spaghetti, followed by half of the meat sauce, and then half of the ricotta mixture.
  7. Repeat layering with remaining spaghetti, meat sauce, and ricotta mixture.
  8. Top with a mix of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until cheese is bubbly and golden.

Notes

Casserole can be made ahead and refrigerated overnight before baking. Consider adding sautéed bell peppers or mushrooms for extra nutrition.
